The directories that should help (Angi, HomeAdvisor, Thumbtack) sell ranking position to the contractors paying the most for it. The AI listicles ranking on “best roofers in [your town]” were written by someone who has never been to your town.
We do the work an arbitrageur won’t. We pull permits from the county building department. We call the supply house to confirm the contractor has an account. We read the reviews looking at velocity, language patterns, and how owners respond to bad ones — not the star average. We score every contractor against the same published rubric, and we publish the score, not just the rank.
